After studying dentistry at the Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen (FAU), I completed my specialist dental training in oral surgery at the Department of Maxillofacial Surgery in Erlangen (Prof. Neukam). I worked here for a total of 8 years in research, teaching and patient care. In 2011-2012 I worked for a year in the Department of Periodontology at the University of Toronto (Canada) and continued my training in the field of periodontology. I also completed my habilitation on the topic of “Modulation of peri-implant hard and soft tissue” at FAU Erlangen in June 2017 and am working here as an external lecturer. From 2017-2024 I worked as an oral surgeon and dentist in private practice in several practices in Munich and the surrounding area. I am known as a national and international speaker in the field of implantology, periodondology and oral surgery and have numerous national and international publications in renowned scientific journals. I have been in Drs’ practice since January 2024 . Bark and Schmitt worked as partners.
